The final test will be given on Thursday August 8. It will be closed books, closed notes, and will cover everything. I will provide all the paper needed. All electronic devices, including calculators, should be stowed away. If you need access to your phone, please plan on leaving it on my desk for the duration of the test.
The final will be 110 minutes in length (the entire class period), and will be comprehensive. However, most of the questions (about 80%) will come from the last two chapters of the book, and the rest will revisit the material of the second test. This projection is not certain.
The last homework is due on the day of the final, and so is the last worksheet stack.
The homework will be passed around in class and posted on this website. Only the questions with answers will be graded, but you should try to solve all of the assigned problems, since the tests will be based on all of the assigned homework, all worksheets, and all examples given in class.
First homework will be collected on Friday July 5.
Second homework will be collected on Thursday July 11.
Third homework will be collected on Thursday July 18.
Fourth homework will be collected on Thursday July 25.
Fifth homework will be collected on Thursday August 1.
Sixth (and final) homework will be collected on Thursday August 8.
You will find all of the worksheets there. The worksheets will be graded wholesale, so to speak: I won't check solutions to individual questions, but I will expect to see the evidence of spending 40 or so minutes on these problems. As with the homework, you should try to solve all of the assigned problems as you prepare for a test.
The following solutions to past tests are posted here as general practice exercises. Do not automatically assume that your tests will be similar in scope or content, as all of that depends on the schedule.
